About the hospital

The buildings you see today are an evolution of the original humble buildings put on this site in the late nineteenth century. Today they provide a home for a wide range of complex clinical care packages.

At Blandford Community Hospital you will find Tarrant Ward with in-patient beds  and Palliative Care Suites with overnight accommodation for family members as well.

It provides the following services, amongst others:

  • Outpatient clinics for Audiology, Glaucoma and more
  • Overnight in-patient care for residents
  • A Minor Injuries Unit
  • A self-referring Physiotherapy service
